When Ben first told me about Holly he was helping me jump my car, which had run out of battery in my driveway.
“She’s like a mix between Mother Teresa and Martin Luther King Jr.”
Yeah, that sounds like the kind of person that Ben would marry. A week later Holly invited us over for dinner and we played banana grams and talked until late. I thought Holly was a keeper.
Holly and I talked once about how we would describe ourselves to a stranger without saying anything about what we do. It was easy for Holly. She cares about a lot of things. She loves people and they know it.
Ben is the most compassionate human I know. Strength coming alongside of weakness without superiority. I have known Ben for years, and I have never once seen him look down on anyone. He finds something that interests him in everyone. In everything.
Ben and Holly together? A beautiful thing. I’m honored beyond words to know these two.
This is the story of their wedding day.
